What is Salvation?

What is Salvation?

When we think about the ability to be saved what exactly does that mean for us? Is it because we feel like there’s something wrong and change through hope in Jesus as our only option or do we fully trust and believe that Jesus raised from the dead declaring our salvation to be saved from sin? Saved from this world. Saved through Jesus Christ receiving eternal destiny. Scripture says that salvation is the gracious undeserved GIFT from GOD that is only received through faith in Jesus Christ. The deliverance, by the grace of GOD, from eternal punishment for sin which is granted to those who accept by FAITH, GOD's condition of repentance and faith in the LORD Jesus Christ. We believe faithfully that GOD is the creator of the earth and all things in it. He is perfectly Holy, Just, and Righteous (Psalm 33). He created us in his image (Genesis 1:27). He created us to live in perfect harmony with each other and with Him (Isaiah 43:7). We had original parents named Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:7, 2:21-22). Adam and Eve rebelled against GOD through temptation bringing sin into the world (Genesis 3:5-17). (Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD) As we are descendants of them, we too have participated in the sin they brought into the world. There's no one who hasn't been tempted into sin. (Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”) And because of our sin, GOD can rightly deal with us by giving us his wrath and separation from Him and the Kingdom forever (Romans 1:18, 5:12). GOD knew there was no way for us to save ourselves or be saved alone. So he sent his Son (John 3:16-18). The Son of GOD entered into the world fully human in flesh. He became Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14). He lived the perfect life, which we could not live (Matthew 5:48). A life full of love. He died a death that we deserved. He lied dead in a tomb for 3 days. And on the 3rd day he was resurrected proving his sacrifice to GOD to be acceptable (John 20:1-18). In our response to the great news about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is repentance and faith.

Repentance: A decision and will to live your life free from sin. Turning away from your sin. Ask GOD for forgiveness taking you away from the old you and bringing life to the new you. Changing the way you think, the way you talk, and the habits you have practiced in sin. Most of all is to share Jesus with everyone. We forget that the gospel is why we are saved. Glorify God throughout this process. Amen (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4:22-24, Romans 6:4, John 3:3, John 5:24, Romans 12:2, Romans 6:1-23)

Faith: John 3:16-17 (KNJV) say “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Romans 10:9 (KNJV) “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
